How To Clean an Electric Kettle in an Easiest and Fastest Way

One of the most used home appliances in my house is an electric kettle.

When boiling stew, I can save time by boiling water in the electric kettle and then pouring hot water into the pot on the stove,

Because I love to drink tea, I always easily boil water in electric kettle and brew tea leaves.

However, one drawback of these electric kettles is that limescale is built often inside of the kettle.

The reason why scales form like this is because the calcium component in the water is heated and has the property of sticking to the inside.

If these scales are not removed, they interfere with heat conduction, which increases the time it takes to boil the water. Bacteria can also multiply. Therefore, it is a good idea to clean the electric pot periodically.

Generally, citric acid or vinegar is recommended to remove limescale, but I personally prefer citric acid.

I have tried using vinegar to clean, but in my case, I found that a spoonful of citric acid removed scale much faster and cleaner. Also, I liked that there was no vinegar smell after cleaning.

👇This is My Way How to Remove Scale From the Electric Kettle

  1. Prepare citric acid.
  2. Add a teaspoon of citric acid (it doesn’t have to be a full teaspoon amount) into the electric kettle
  3. Add water to the electric kettle with one teaspoonful amount of citric acid.
  4. Turn on the power of the electric kettle and boil the water.
  5. Rinse with clean water.
